Minimum Equipment Requirements for General Aviation Operations Under FAR Part 91

Using the following decision sequence derived from AC 91-67 as a guide will ensure an airworthy aircraft.

Memory aid for decision sequence: "EAA 9 DR PHiL"

Check:

1) Equipment list
2) Airworthiness required by type certificate
3) Airworthiness Directives
4) 91.205, 91.207, 91.215

* If required must be repaired before flight.

Actions if NOT required:

5) Deactivate (Pull and collar the circuit breaker) or
6) Remove
7) Placard inoperative
8) Hazard critical to safety of flight?
9) Logbook entries by mechanic or PIC
